R Kelly accused by woman of mental and sexual abuse

At press time, Kelly was being sued for sexual assault by Faith Rodgers, who claimed they met in March of past year when she was 19 and a couple months later Kelly flew her to NYC for a concert, according to TMZ.

Rodgers' lawsuit against the singer alleges that Kelly "routinely engaged in intimidation, mental, verbal and sexual abuse, during and after sexual contact", The New York Times reports.

The suit, filed in the New York Supreme Court, states allegations of sexual battery, fraud, and false imprisonment.

Faith Rodgers says that she met Kelly when she was nineteen and began a year long relationship with him - initially over the phone.

R. Kelly's management is yet to comment on the scandal.

Lifetime will investigate R. Kelly's alleged sexual misconduct and accusations of having a sex cult that involves young women will be investigated through a documentary series on the network.

On May 10, streaming service Spotify said it had removed the singer's music from its editorial playlists.

Apple's proposed North Carolina campus is nearly a 'done deal'
Officials from the state reportedly pitched locations in Arlington, Fairfax, and Loudoun counties to Apple people. North Carolina Speaker of the House Tim Moore did not respond to a request for comment.

A former girlfriend of singer R Kelly has filed a lawsuit accusing him of sexual assault, locking her in motor vehicles as punishment for failing to please him, and infecting her with herpes. "You know?" she said, adding that he also recorded their sexual activity on his iPad without her permission.

"Unfortunately, the facts and background of this case are not unique", the lawsuit says. Rodgers said he even introduced her to one of five women Kelly allegedly said he was "raising".

Faith Evans, 20, is claiming that the 51-year-old held her against her will and that he psychologically, verbally and sexually abused her. "You know? So I was just waiting for it to be over".

Due to the other allegations surfacing about R. Kelly, some companies have taken direct action.

She said: "I was devastated". The singer filed suit against bosses at Comcast Spectacor previous year (17), accusing them of breach of contract over a show at the Macon Coliseum in February, 2017.

In February this year R Kelly was served with an eviction notice on one of his Georgia homes, which was believed to be used as the hub of the R&B singer's alleged "sex cult" before being burgled last year. In 2008 he was acquitted of child pornography charges after allegedly making a sex tape with a 14-year-old girl.

An appearance at a concert in his native Chicago scheduled earlier this month was canceled after protests. Even though Rodgers was screened for STIs prior to her encounter with R. Kelly, Rodgers found out that she had herpes.
