The company is teasing fans on Twitter, telling them they will find out what the "b" means on June 11.

From breakfast and bacon to brunch, burritos, and biscuits, the options are endless! A likely candidate proposed by one commenter was "breakfast".

After 60 years the restaurant chain IHOP is literally flipping its name.

That's right. It's not a typo, although the company has not disclosed the meaning of the new acronym.

The International House of Pancakes was founded in Los Angeles in 1958. In 1973, the company made a decision to shorten the name to IHOP.

Per a USA Today report, the name change comes at a time when other changes are happening with the restaurant chain. But what the "b" stands for remains a mystery at this point.

IHOP parent Dine Brands Global, based in Glendale, Calif., changed its name from Dine Equity in February.
