Also, Apple made it clear that it wasn't planning to merge iOS and macOS and that the two will continue to function as independent entities since both of them offer something unique. Users can sort stacks based on date or tags. Successor to last year's macOS High Sierra, macOS Mojave or macOS 10.14, will bring in many updates but the ones that will really stand out include a new dedicated dark mode including dynamic desktop, enhanced privacy controls in the Safari web browser so it would become even more hard for data companies to track users' activities, and a redesigned Mac app store. It's a part of a multi-year project that Apple is giving a sneak preview in as a part of the new apps in the Mojave upgrade.

Apple also previewed watchOS 5, a significant update to Apple Watch, with a host of new features including Activity Sharing competitions, auto-workout detection, advanced running features, Walkie-Talkie, Apple Podcasts and third-party apps on the Siri watch face. Apple is also taking inspiration from many photos to design look alike emojis. The originally iOS-exclusive user interface framework UIKit is being updated to support the Mac as a target device, so an app designed for iPhone and Apple TV use will be able to run on Macs as well. The company is moving from mountains to deserts and therefore, has named the new update a desert in California, Mojave and no, I'm honestly not aware how it's pronounced but I'm sure we'll figure it out soon. Finally, with the Voice Memos app, iOS and macOS memos will be synced via iCloud. More than just screenshotting, it can be used to capture video directly. It essentially lets you quickly access all the recent media like pictures.

"New data protections require apps to get user permission before using the Mac camera and microphone or accessing personal data like user Mail history and Messages database", Apple added. Safari now also automatically creates, autofills and stores strong passwords when users create new online accounts. You can also record a video of whatever's on your screen.

When macOS Mojave does launch, Mac owners are going to get a system with a stunning new Dark Mode, a native News application, and a platform which will come complete with a new Stocks app. Mojave will also feature a new Stacks option to keep files clustered together and more power when it comes to FaceTime and capturing screenshots.
