World Cup victor Diego Maradona has offered Barcelona mega start and Argentine skipper Lionel Messi some precious advice ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russian Federation this summer.

In an interview to Omnisport, the 1986 World Cup-winning team member said, "I would advise Messi to keep playing, to enjoy the game".

"We are not going to the World Cup as favourites but we are a great team with players ready to fight against anyone".

In an interview with Argentine Canal 13, Messi also discussed why he did not take the chance to play for Spain and said that Barcelona will be his only European club. If Messi had played tennis, he'd have won 50 Grand Slams!

The two forwards have dominated football over the past decade, with both players having won five Ballons d'Or each in the past 10 years.

Rakitic, who will be key player for his country in the upcoming World Cup in Russian Federation said that Messi would have won 50 grand slams playing tennis.

As we move towards the 2018 FIFA World Cup, fans are busy piling unrealistic expectations on Barcelona FC legend Lionel Messi.

Turkey draws against Russian Federation in friendly match
There has been similar controversy in Germany where brewer Eichbaum featured the flag in a World Cup promotion on bottles of beer. This was Yunus' first goal for Turkey in his 18th worldwide match.

"We all know how challenging it is to win a World Cup, but we all want it, Argentina needs it".

It was a night of celebration for another Barcelona star as Javier Mascherano joined Javier Zanetti as Argentina's most capped player with 143 global appearances. "But you don't play football by yourself, it is not an individual sport".

Liverpool's Roberto Firmino joined his Brazil teammates for practice in London ahead of a weekend pre-World Cup friendly against Croatia.

But Messi has been unable to spark a comparable triumph, seeing his side beaten three times in major finals, the forward temporarily retiring from global duty after the Copa America Centenario defeat to Chile in 2016.

No country will supply as many coaches in next month's FIFA World Cup.

If they top their group, they'll play either Australia or Denmark in the last 16.
