Battlefield V returns to tell the human stories of World War II

EA revealed more details today at the EA Play press conference including a closer look at the game's multiplayer.

The Swedish developer didn't offer much in the way of details, other than the fact that it'll be a uniquely Battlefield-style interpretation of battle royale, and that there'll be more to share on the mode "later this year". It is planned to be their biggest and most immersive Battlefield game yet.

EA also announced that it will ditch the premium pass model for Battlefield 5 in favour of cosmetic upgrades and free maps.

Battlefield V bring the series back to World War Two and, dear God, has playable women.

Oskar Gabrielson, general manager of game developer DICE, had to address the backlash against Battlefield V over the inclusion of female soldiers when the sequel was first revealed. EA Access and Origin Access Play First Trial will come early on October 11 and Deluxe Edition early enlister access will open on October 16.
