Gold's trailer starts off with Tapan Das dejected with the British India flag being hoisted after winning the gold medal at the Berlin Olympics in 1936. Under his captainship, not just India got back its pride but also its first ever gold for hockey that it had won twice previously too but for British India.

He assembles his army of players, Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Vineet Kumar Singh and Sunny Kaushal, who mouth punch lines like "passing dreams like passing the hockey ball", "family announced me centre forward on my birth", 'Inquilaab Zindabad happens before breakfast at home'.

Swiss come back to beat Serbia, with controversy
Meanwhile, the Serbian papers also slammed what they labelled "shameful provocation" by Shaqiri and Xhaka. If Stoke manage to keep him in the Championship then that would be a miracle because he's top class.

The highlight of the trailer lies in Akshay Kumar's flawless performance and his intense representation of the character. In an interview with TOI, Akshay Kumar pointed out to a coincidence and said, "Gold releases on August 15 and on August 12 is the 70th anniversary of India's first gold medal as a free country at the 1948 Summer Olympic Games in London". Mouni Roy is also seen in the trailer and looks gorgeous as a Bengali woman. "India" might be the first one, as this is also about a man who inspires a hockey team for a world competition. While we had won several medals under the British Raj, the story of this Gold medal was special. The film has been shot across the United Kingdom and India, capturing the fascinating aspects of the pre-independent era.

"Gold" is written and directed by Reema Kagti and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment.
