James also moved into second place on the all-time Finals scoring list in Game 2 on Sunday. That includes the Golden State Warriors, Boston Celtics and Houston Rockets.

The Los Angeles Lakers are known to be pursuing two superstar free agents this offseason and made the trade for Isaiah Thomas in order to clear enough cap space to sign two players to max contracts.

It does make sense for James to sign with the Warriors from the standpoint that he wants to win more rings. With the Cavs down 3-0 in the series, LeBron James has no other recourse but to continue generating huge numbers, as Cleveland simply could not afford its best player to even have a passable performance.

James said he kept quiet about it so the Warriors wouldn't find out about it.

Warriors Can Win It All
He scored 43 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and dished out seven assists, and he made four 3-pointers from 30-plus feet. Afterwards, he dismissed comparisons to his 2017 shot and focused on Golden State still needing a fourth victory.

The Ringer's Kevin O'Connor reported there is a feeling around the league that the Lakers have a legitimate chance to sign James. This time around, his family will have a bigger impact on his decision and if his family is okay with moving to Oakland, then there's not much stopping James.

According to ESPN's Brian Windhorst, James suffered a serious right hand injury after punching a blackboard following the Cleveland Cavaliers' heartbreaking Game 1 loss last week.

If Durant received heavy criticism for joining the team that beat him in the playoffs when he was with the Oklahoma City Thunder, there's no doubt that James would get the same treatment but on a completely larger scale. Beating the Warriors - essentially by himself - was (and is) an impossible task.
