LG V35 ThinQ With Snapdragon 845 SoC, 16-Megapixel Dual Cameras Announced

Korean smartphone maker LG has now officially unveiled one more flagship smartphone.

The V35 ThinQ is expected to hit shelves in South Korea in early July. The phone has an 18:9 QHD+ resolution screen without the notch cutout that can be seen on the LG G7 ThinQ. The price, however, is very high for this smartphone. But, the design is where the G7 ThinQ and V35 ThinQ differ a bit.

Talking about the difference between LG G7 ThinQ, the LG V35 ThinQ comes with a notch-less FullVision OLED display.

If this seems a little niche then, well, it rather is - it looks like it's only for the LG G7 ThinQ and is created to really highlight the audio quality, a key feature of the handset. Well, we are pretty sure there are many people out there who would applaud this decision of LG. It also loses the Boom Box speaker which was the other big highlight of the G7.

Japan claims the whaling is for scientific research, yet also allows the sale of the whale flesh in markets and restaurants. The whales are then hauled out of the ocean onto the boat where they are sliced apart for ostensibly research purposes.

On the optics front, the device features a dual rear camera module of two 16-megapixel sensors. It also gets a similar 8-megapixel wide angle front-facing camera.

If you do want to spend some money, though, you can go for either the G7 ThinQ or V35 ThinQ, both of which we've recently covered. There will be a lot of AI features within the camera app like scene detection for a better user experience. The camera is powered by LG's AI camera tech, as well as a smart pixel-binning technology for low-light shots, the AI algorithm adjusts the camera settings automatically when shooting in low light.

Portrait Mode: Switch into portrait mode to get the flawless Instagram by focusing on the subject while blurring the background. The device comes with a fingerprint sensor placed below the primary camera. LG says SFFVR "is capable of accurately understanding voice commands even over background noises such as a TV and traffic". The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with 6GB RAM. The smartphone boots up to Android 8.0 Oreo, and, has 64 GB of storage on board. The LG V35is built to withstand the rigors of daily use with its IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and a passing grade in 14 of the U.S. militarys MIL-STD 810G tests for reliability of equipment performance in harsh environments.

There are also two new high-end phones from LG arriving on Project Fi. With that GPU performance will increase by 30%. The newest V series device will be rolling out in the Americas starting in June followed by limited markets in Asia, Middle East and Africa.
