Lions tigers jaguar and bear escape from zoo after flooding from storms in Germany

Five unsafe predators, including two lions, two tigers and a jaguar escaped from a zoo in western Germany, sparking a massive hunt.

Local residents have been told to stay indoors and instructed to keep all windows and doors shut.

Two lions were among the six animals that escaped their enclosures at a flooded western Germany zoo, before five were recaptured.

The bear was discovered outside the zoo grounds in the rolling hills of the Eifel region, and was shot.

The animals broke out after flooding from a storm damaged their enclosures.

Judge denies Michael Cohen's request for more time to review seized materials
Ryan protested that the barrage was improper, saying Avenatti was on television at least 170 times , mostly to badmouth Cohen. If they fail to meet the deadline, she will turn over the remaining materials to a government "taint team", she said.

The animals were found inside the zoo compound in Lünebach after a search involving a drone, officials told German media.

To add to the sense of alarm, it was reported that two lions, two tigers and a jaguar had also gone missing. Wildlife lovers said the case showed wild animals should not be kept in cages.

The Eifel Zoo houses about 400 animals, including about 60 exotic and native animals.

As it turned out, the cats had never left the sprawling 30-hectare Eifel Zoo in Luenebach, much of which was under water after huge thunderstorms overnight.

"That enabled multiple animals to escape". One was shot dead and the other was forced back into its cage, according to the BBC.
