The 3M Open will be the first regular, annual PGA Tour stop since the St Paul Open and Minnesota Golf Classic at Braemar Golf Course in Edina in 1969.

The PGA Tour found room on the schedule for the 3M Open when the Houston Open announced it was moving to the fall starting in 2019. Look at how successful we've been on the Champions Tour.

Champions Tour players feasted on the TPC Twin Cities during its 17-year run at the course, with only one winning score coming in worse than 10 under par for 54 holes, and that was the first year, 2001, when Bruce Lietzke won at 9 under.

"It's hard" to recruit top PGA Tour players for an event, Cavner said. "We are excited about this move to May".

Lehman also said he expects some extensive renovations around the TPC Twin Cities course prior to the PGA Tour stop next year because of available real estate behind the course.

The exes are still on great terms, though-she's going to give him away at the wedding, which has the full blessing of the family. Lord Ivar - the great-great-great grandson of Queen Victoria - agreed: "We'll probably have cheese instead of cake".

Paul Keel, 3M's senior vice president of Business Development and Marketing-Sales, joined Cavner at Monday's official announcement restating the Minnesota company's commitment to sponsoring the event, notbaly through the company's 3M Open Fund. "We know the players will want to come here and play", he said, noting representatives for several players - notably Rory McIlroy - had already contacted him to congratulate him on landing the event.

No dates for the 2019 3M Open have been released. That gives the PGA Tour two new markets next year that were not on the schedule this season.

WDAY talked with PGA Tour pro and Fargo native Tom Hoge about what it will be like playing down the road from his hometown.

He said many tour events charge in the $25 to $65 price range. Cavner said tickets for the PGA Tour event will be "reasonably priced" and children will be admitted free.
