Assassin's Creed Odyssey launches for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on 5th October 2018, and you can take a first proper look at the game in the trailers below. Gematsu discovered almost 20 screenshots from the upcoming game, which can be seen in the gallery below. It really took off though when an interview by UNILADGaming leaked on Facebook, and while now taken down was, of course, saved by the internet. Rejected by your family, you must embark on an adventure from outcast mercenary to legendary Spartan hero to uncover the truth about your past.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey (which sadly isn't a spin-off from Mario Odyssey) was leaked back on May 31st, all thanks to a promotional item: a Greek helmet keychain.

Justin Farren detailed the story, explaining how you're a pirate who is going to steal every last coin from the rich. You'll be able to recruit various people for your ship, giving it abilities or buffs to improve it. This is another new feature for this franchise. Certain NPCs can also be romanced or befriended depending on what you say.

Additionally, they seem to be filling the void left by Bioware in romances. We'll keep you posted as soon as we know more.

This common thread makes a lot of sense given the amount of work and effort that went into Assassin's Creed: Origins, and it's quite commonplace in the games industry that sequels share assets, engines, and other major features with their predecessors.
