During her time Kate has been reportedly looking after Prince Louis with the help of their family nanny, Maria Borrallo.

And the christening itself is quite the family tradition, Royal Central U.K. notes, adding Prince Louis will also wear a replica of the now-famous Honiton lace christening gown.

The little royal, who was born on St George's Day in April, will be baptised at the same place as his big brother Prince George.

It is modelled after the wedding dress Queen Victoria wore for her marriage to Prince Albert in 1840, a year before the birth of their first child.

On Saturday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were spotted at Celia McCorquodale and George Woodhouse's nuptials.

The Kensington Palace Twitter account revealed the news just moments ago saying: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are pleased to announce that the christening of Prince Louis will take place on Monday 9th July at The Chapel Royal, St James's Palace, London". "Obviously events such as Meghan and Harry's wedding and Trooping the Colour were exceptions and Louis is expected to be christened in the summer".

Prince William and Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, have named their third child.

"We'll no doubt have the official christening photos, as we did with Prince George and Princess Charlotte".

Prince William and Middleton will reportedly make a compromise for their son's christening.
