Should migrants be sent back without due process?

President Donald Trump says people who "invade" the USA must immediately be sent back to their countries and not be given a court hearing.

"People must simply be stopped at the Border and told they can not come into the USA illegally".

Trump says in a series of typo-filled tweets that, "Hiring manythousands of judges, and going through a long and complicated legal process, is not the way to go - will always be disfunctional".

Trump faced a global outcry, including criticism from some in his own Republican Party, this month over migrant children who were separated from their parents because of the administration's policy of seeking to detain and prosecute everyone caught entering the country illegally.

Trump, who often targets Waters, reacted on Twitter, lumping her in with House of Representatives Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi.

Our nation is under attack by corporate-funded, greed-driven thieves and thugs, who have clearly taken over the GOP and are eroding everything from education and healthcare to science and life on earth because they want it all for themselves. Now. But the government has yet to reunite more than 2,000 children with their parents.

The president caved on Wednesday, issuing an executive order that ended the separations at the U.S. -Mexico border.

The House is expected to vote on immigration legislation later this week, after days of back-and-forth discussion.

Sanders began her regular White House press briefing on Monday acknowledging her removal from the restaurant and said: "Healthy debate on ideas and political philosophy is important, but the calls for harassment and push for any Trump supporter to avoid the public is unacceptable".

An immigration bill that mirrored Trump's priorities failed last week as 41 Republicans, including all five from New Jersey, voted no.

Rep. Jim Jordan, the head of the Freedom Caucus of the most conservative House Republicans, said the unsuccessful GOP bill was what voters said they wanted by electing Trump.

"The mandate from the 2016 election was real clear", Jordan, R-Ohio, said on CBS.

McCaul is suggesting Congress may need to pass a "skinny" immigration bill dealing with family separation if the more wide-ranging version fails. By Friday, however, he tweeted that Republicans should stand down until after midterms because of obstruction from Democrats.
