As of today, Southwest Airlines has extended its flight schedule through January 6, 2019, allowing passengers to book tickets through this time.

A smoking passenger who forced a Southwest Airlines flight to make an emergency landing at San Jose International Airport was interviewed by police but not arrested, according to authorities.

Southwest Airlines Flight #1250 landed in San Jose around 4:10 p.m. after pilots thought there was an in-air emergency, due to the smell of smoke in the plane's cockpit.

Nevertheless, smoking anything in an airplane bathroom, tobacco, or marijuana, or anything else, is very much against the law.

"Our employees in San Jose are working to accommodate the remaining 32 customers on other aircraft to continue their journeys".

Peru captain Paolo Guerrero cleared to play at Russia World Cup 2018
Switzerland's supreme court says it has granted an interim order to freeze Guerrero's 14-month ban for a positive doping test. The interim ruling puts the ban imposed by CAS on hold until full consideration of the case at a later date in federal court.

Police said the man was smoking a cigarette, contradicting a report from CBSLA suggesting the passenger was smoking marijuana.

The diversion did not cause any flight delays at Mineta San Jose International Airport and no one was injured.

"It looked like someone needed to smoke a joint on a plane, and he went into the bathroom, smoked his blunt, and set off the fire alarm", passenger Jonathan Burkes told CBS Los Angeles.

Shariat agreed to speak with airline staff after landing, but she told TMZ that before he left, the alleged masturbator "patted her on the head" and asked if she "enjoyed the show".

Beginning on November 4, Southwest is adding nonstop service between New York's LaGuardia Airport and New Orleans, West Palm Beach, and Orlando.
