"I am Swedish and I am proud to be wearing this shirt and our flag".

Nearly immediately threats began to appear on Durmaz's Instagram account.

Germany's players looked in high spirits as the World Cup holders got back to work following their last-gasp victory over Sweden on Saturday.

You can see Durmaz's full statement and the team's response as well below. I want to thank the fine, wonderful people who spread joy.

The Swedish Football Association's general secretary Hakan Sjostrand said that the Swedish FA reported the abuse to the police on Durmaz's behalf. It warms us all.

"I would just like to say a few things regarding what happened after the game yesterday".

Moving lump on woman's face turns out to be worm
While the definitive hosts for this parasite are dogs and other carnivores, the report stated that humans can be "aberrant hosts". An Oregon woman made headlines earlier this year when she yanked a worm from her inflamed eye, National Geographic reported .

Durmaz finished his statement by saying, "We stand united". Coach Janne Andersson told the media that they wanted to discuss the "completely unacceptable" situation that developed after the match.

The squad then joined Durmaz in a collective shout of "F*** racism!" before applauding and jogging off to begin their training session.

After losing their opening match in Group F to Mexico, Germany next face South Korea in Kazan on Wednesday, targeting a win as they seek to progress from a group in which all four teams could still qualify.

"Now we have to recover and we don't have much time before we have to beat Korea, when we have to play convincingly", said Kroos.

"You shouldn't celebrate in front of our bench the way they did, that's disrespectful, " Guidetti said.

Conditioned by the dry heat that has been a feature of every game at the Rostov Arena, Mexico did not quite have the same thrust and energy as against Germany, although they still controlled most of the play and looked far more risky. We obviously also didn't score on a couple of clear opportunities but what I did appreciate was the spirit of the team.
