WABCA Texas man is recovering after he was bitten by a rattlesnake that he had just decapitated

Jennifer Sutcliffe, from Corpus Christi, told KIII TV that her husband had been clearing the yard on Memorial Day weekend when he saw and decapitated a rattlesnake. And because the snake's head was no longer connected to a body when it bit him, she told KIII-TV that it discharged the full load of its venom all at once. "He had to rip it off".

The man is recovering in a hospital, the story said.

"A normal person who is going to get bit is going to get two to four doses of antivenom", Sutcliffe told the station. Upon spotting a four-foot rattlesnake, the man (unnamed in media reports) severed its head with a shovel.

The incident in Corpus Christi was not the first time in recent years that a decapitated snake bite made news.

Doctors initially thought the attack might be fatal but he is now in a stable condition after being given 26 doses of an expensive anti-venom. He immediately began having seizures, lost his vision and experienced internal bleeding.

Victims should avoid washing the wound, as the venom can help medical staff to identify the type of snake to ensure the correct anti-venom is administered.

Dutch queen's sister found dead at Buenos Aires home
Between 2009 and 2011 she worked at the United Nations headquarters of Panama but returned to Argentina in 2012 after a breakup. Queen Maxima of the Netherlands' sister was found dead of an apparent suicide on Wednesday night, the BBC reports.

He was eventually airlifted to Christus Spohn Shoreline Hospital, Jennifer said.

The USDA recommends that people who comes across rattlesnakes allow them to retreat, as the venomous snakes only strike when threatened or provoked.

"The bite and envenomation reflex is triggered by some kind of information that comes into the mouth cavity", Beaupré said.

He beheaded it with a shovel, but he soon found out how risky a dead snake can be.

In the movies, people try to suck out the venom themselves or some other home remedy.
