Fresh off the media high of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's historical royal wedding, there's another barrier-breaking ceremony in the wings-and it marks a major first for the traditional British establishment. Though if his cousin, Elizabeth, decided to make an appearance, we wouldn't hate it.

Mountbatten's ex-wife Penny - who he divorced in 2011 after 17 years of marriage - will be walking him down the aisle, at the suggestion of their three daughters.

Interestingly, to the wedding invited the former wife of Lord Ivar, penny. The exes are still on great terms, though-she's going to give him away at the wedding, which has the full blessing of the family.

While he did not want to go through the wedding process again given that he had been married and fathered children, Ivar told Daily Mail that he was marrying again for the sake of his partner.

Lord Ivar - the great-great-great grandson of Queen Victoria - agreed: "We'll probably have cheese instead of cake".

Lord Ivar's daughters, Ella, 22, Alix, 20, and Luli, 15, are all supportive of their dad's second marriage - as are his extended relatives, including his close friend Prince Edward.

Note that the lady penny and Lord Ivar had three daughters.

The royal family maintains many old-fashioned rules and traditions, but this summer's lineup of royal weddings appears to indicate a royal family that is becoming more inclusive and representative of the diverse people they rule.

But he "really wanted to do it for James". "Of course that generation, they're completely cool about the concept of this". "Everybody says they've never seen him happier".

Continuing, he said, "I never thought this would happen".

While describing their engagement, James told the publication "it's a very modern marriage", explaining that "there was no proposal, just an acceptance of this great love".

"I definitely think it's in the genes", he told the Daily Mail.
