President Trump used the day when America pauses to remember its war dead to tout his administration's domestic achievements, saying those who died would be "happy" at "how well" the country has done under his watch.

"They were generals and privates, captains and corporals of every race, color and of every creed". "This is a very special day and today our whole country thanks you, embraces you and pledges to you we will never forget our heroes". He is buried at Arlington.
