Warriors Can Win It All

When the Warriors needed a shot late on with the Cavaliers closing in, Durant drained a three-pointer to extend the lead to 106-100 50 seconds left.

Cleveland's role players performed a little better at home like they have for the entire postseason.

In his press conference on Thursday, LeBron couldn't avoid more questions about KD. After missing the previous six games to injury, 2015 Finals MVP Andre Iguodala returned and game solid minutes on both ends of the floor.

"Kevin Durant was great at 23", he said.

He did apologize to Portland after saying that, while smiling and nearly cracking up. You can't have miscommunication, you can't have flaws, you can't have "my faults" or "my bads" or things like that, because they're going to make you pay. He's such a high IQ type of guy that he'll most likely find himself in the right place at the right time and help our rotation get back to what we're consistently used to.

What the Raptors have seen up close is that in this arena, where they had won eight straight in the playoffs this season, the Cavaliers can be a nightmare: James orchestrating it all, as he does, but also an array of shooters who can light up the scoreboard from three-point range.

3 takeaways from Game 3 vs. Warriors
The latest report involves the team that the world's greatest basketball player is now trying to defeat in the 2018 NBA Finals. The Patriots won three Super Bowls in four years between 2001 and 2004 and have since added two more in 2014 and 2016.

James, 33, is the oldest finals leader in points and minutes, having struck for 51 points in the opener, the fifth-best game total in finals history.

In the time since he left the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Golden State Warriors two years ago, Kevin Durant has heard plenty from fans.

Game 4 is Friday night.

The Warriors won 108-85 Friday night with a signature third-quarter run that buried the Cavs.

Led by Curry, who found his shooting stroke after a lackluster Game 3, the far more talented Warriors weren't going to be denied closing out this series on the road. Klay Thompson scored just 10 points on four of 11 shooting while Stephen Curry chipped in with just 11 points on three of 16 shooting. Afterwards, he dismissed comparisons to his 2017 shot and focused on Golden State still needing a fourth victory.

Steve Kerr has said it a few times in the playoffs: There is no way he could have survived as a player in the National Basketball Association the way it is now. He scored 43 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and dished out seven assists, and he made four 3-pointers from 30-plus feet. He could stay a Cavalier or elect to opt out of his current contract and play somewhere else where he thinks he has a chance to win. Every time Cleveland worked its way back into contention, Golden State punched back with a bigger run.
