The average portable charger needs juiced up with a Micro USB cable, leading to a big tangle of incompatible wires in my bags and a frenzied search for that one Micro USB cable in the house on the eve of big trips.

The 10,000mAh battery pack charges using Apple's Lightning connector, meaning iPhone users can plug the pack into the same cable they use to charge their phone. It's also the first Lightning-equipped battery that meets Apple's MiFi certification standards. Belkin's Boost Charge Power Bank 10K with Lightning connector is the first battery pack that's officially approved by Apple's MFi accessory program. You can recharge the bank with a regular Lightning cable or via a dock that's sold separately. It comes in black and white color options and is priced at $59.99. Belkin is taking pre-orders for the 10k power bank starting today.
