Trump supporters boycott Walmart for selling 'Impeach 45' clothing | TheHill

The online site is selling t-shirts with "IMPEACH 45" emblazoned across the front in big capital letters - a call to bring down the 45th US president, Donald Trump.

Nor is Walmart itself selling the "Impeach 45" clothing.

"These items were sold by third-party sellers on our open marketplace and were not offered directly by Walmart", a company spokesperson told Yahoo Lifestyle.

The shirts that come in several shades, plus similar baby onesies and even frisbees, spurred a grassroots call to boycott the world's biggest retailer.

Walmart pulled the shirt - as well as other products with the same message - from its website, but not until some of the president's fans threw a fit. Many asked the retailer why it would sell shirts that they found offensive.

In a statement given to the BBC, Walmart confirmed it was now reviewing its marketplace policies. Alice Walton donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to a fund supporting Clinton in the 2016 election cycle, but Clinton has rejected her family's support in the past.

While Honda was dignified in defeat, Japan are entitled to feel they deserved better after a superbly disciplined performance. The coach made the changes because he wanted more power in the middle and we managed to bring that.

It's not the first time Walmart has caused a stir. The number refers to President Donald Trump, who is the 45th president.

Walmart has been targeted before by angry shoppers after controversial items have appeared on the platform.

The company issued a similar statement when it came under fire previous year for selling a shirt with the words "Rope".

One Twitter user called for Walmart to "clean up" its act, saying as a "pro American company it is wrong to politicise and be anti-US President with any product".

Walmart has not commented on the merchandise.
