Chelsea looking to pip Liverpool to Alisson signing

Liverpool fans can rejoice as Alisson is seemingly a goalkeeper who can pose as a physical presence in the box.

Liverpool have bid a world record £62 million for Roma goalkeeper Alisson as Jurgen Klopp looks to solve his goalkeeper problem.

Sky sources have said no fee has been agreed.

The Blues are in the market for another goalkeeper amid intense speculation linking Thibaut Courtois with a move to Real Madrid and Alisson has been identified as a possible replacement for the Belgian worldwide.

Now, it is being claimed in the same report that AS Roma are indeed willing to let Alisson leave the Italian club this summer, handing Liverpool FC a potential boost.

However, having moved ever closer to securing the signature of Brazil's highly rated shot stopper Alisson after submitting a £62m offer, fortunes could be changing for those at Anfield.

Courtois Believes World Cup Performance Merits Improved Contract
A deal could reportedly be announced in the coming days, with the two clubs thought to have agreed a fee of around £31m. However, he insists he could see out the previous year of his deal depending on how Chelsea deal with the situation.

Last season Alisson kept 15 Serie A clean sheets for Roma and helped the club to finish third and reach the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Liverpool and Roma are now in talks with Brazil No. 1 Alisson Becker - that's two Ss, not one - over a move to Merseyside in the current window.

Loris Karius has already made errors in pre-season.

After Liverpool's defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League final, it emerged that Karius had suffered a concussion after being elbowed by Sergio Ramos.

The German was at fault for two goals as Klopp's side were beaten 3-1 in Kiev.
