Chelsea ‘weighing up’ move for Bayer Leverkusen prodigy

The Serie A side were set to sign winger Malcom from Bordeaux this week before the move was sensationally hijacked by Barcelona, who sealed a €41 million (£36.5m/$48m) deal for the 21-year-old.

Long time target of both clubs, Bayer Leverkusen's Leon Bailey, is reportedly desperate to force through a move to the Premier League before the transfer window slams shut in early August.

But, Bailey's agent and father Craig Butler has revealed no contact has been made from Roma for the midfielder who has also attracted interest from Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Chelsea. I do not know Monchi, maybe he does not have my number (laughs).

Bailey has impressed for Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.
