While England may have dropped into the perceived easier side of the draw in the World Cup, in the last 16 in the Spartak Stadium on Tuesday they come up against a quality Colombian team that includes in-form striker Radamel Falcao.

"Falcao had a hard time in England clearly, but outside of England he's a very high-profile player", said Cahill of a player who has scored 51 goals for Monaco in the past two campaigns.

"I suppose the rest is history, he's rediscovered his form and he's banging in the goals for Monaco and Colombia".

He managed just one goal in 10 top division appearances at Chelsea, nine of which were as a substitute in 2015/16, after having netted four times in 26 Premier League matches for Manchester United the season before.

'Of course you think about it (lifting the World Cup), but you can't get too carried away at this current stage. "You're in for one or two games, then you're out or not even given a full 90 minutes, that was his frustration (at Chelsea)".

It is still hot and humid in Toronto
Fire crews are expected to knock on about 5,000 doors during the heat wave, and they will offer residents a cooler place to stay. The heat is going to continue until Thursday, with some relief on Friday when temperatures finally start dipping under 30 C.

Returning to Monaco, his form has also returned earning him a Ballon d'Or nomination. The England defender was part of the Chelsea team that Falcao hit a hat-trick against in the 2012 Super Cup.

The goal Falcao most dreamed of came one week ago, at the age of 32, as he scored for the first time at a World Cup to launch Colombia towards the last 16 in a 3-0 win over Poland. But he showed his character, when back to Monaco to find his form again.

Another Colombia player who didn't get much of a chance to make an impact at Stamford Bridge but has rebuilt his career elsewhere is winger Juan Cuadrado. "Everyone knows him, everyone's aware of him, his ability".

It meant a nervous game with Senegal in their final group game.

A boost for England could be the absence of another of Colombia's main stars James Rodriguez, who missed their final group game with an ankle injury.
