Tottenham winger Erik Lamela signs two-year contract extension

South Korea worldwide, Son, 26, has signed a new five-year deal until 2023 while Argentine Lamela, 26, has penned a four-year extension until 2022.

Tottenham confirmed midfielder Erik Lamela had joined forward Son Heung-min in signing a new contract extension on a busy afternoon of announcements for the Premier League club.

Son has forged an excellent working relationship with England captain Harry Kane, scoring 26 league goals across the last two campaigns.

In a video tweet posted by Spurs, Son said: "I'm very happy to sign a new contract".

The South Korea worldwide joined Spurs from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015 and has since scored 47 goals across 140 appearances.

In a possible dig at Trump's unpredictable presidency, Putin vaunted Russia's "consistent, responsible, independent foreign policy".

Lamela featured 25 times for the Lilywhites last term after missing the majority of 2016-17 through injury, and the 26-year-old is remaining positive that he can stay away from the treatment room for good.

Lamela already had two years remaining on his contract but, after performing well so far in pre-season, has accepted a new offer until 2022.

The issue kept him out for more than a year before finally returning to action in November 2017, and has since gone on to impress by having a hand in 11 goals during his 33 appearances during 2017-18.

"We are delighted to announce that Son Heung-min has signed a new contract with the Club, which will run until 2023", a statement on Tottenham's website said.

"We deserve to win something and deserve to make some history".
