He said the wizarding world and the human world will be pitched against each other, but wizards will fight wizards as well-and that Fantastic Beasts 2 will go to darker places than we've seen in the Harry Potter universe before.

San Diego is where to find Fantastic Beasts this weekend, as the cast of The Crimes of Grindelwald came to Comic-Con to appear on a panel and drop a new trailer.

It's a big day for Harry Potter fans!

Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Carmen Ejogo, Ezra Miller, and Alison Sudol are also returning to reprise their respective roles. The trailer shows off some of protagonist Newt Scamander's childhood at Hogwarts, before ending with a surprise appearance from the owner of the sorcerer's stone.

We get an encounter between Newt and Dumbledore, who tells him: "I can't move against him [Grindelwald], it has to be you".

As for being dubbed young Dumbledore - or as moderator Aisha Tyler referred to him, "Hot Dumbledore" - Law revealed he is a "very spritely" 45.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is set to continue the story of Newt Scamander.

Per the film's synopsis, "the adventure reunites Newt with Tina, Queenie and Jacob, but his mission will also test their loyalties as they face new perils in an increasingly risky and divided wizarding world". Even author J.K. Rowling (who also wrote the screenplays for both Fantastic Beasts) dipped her toes into the matter, releasing a statement on the studio's decision to keep Depp in the film. The second film in what will be a five-film event will bring several popular characters from the Harry Potter movies into the light.

While that amusing answer might have seemed plausibly true at the time given how kind-hearted and humble Dumbledore was known to be, the new Fantastic Beasts trailer shows what he actually sees: Geralt Grindelwald.

Fans were thrilled when Depp emerged from behind the curtains in full Gellert Grindelwald costume, a shock of spiky blond hair and all, to introduce the trailer for the film, according to Entertainment Weekly.
