Speaking about his new job, Sarri said: 'I am very happy to be coming to Chelsea and the Premier League.

The Italian manager's relations with the west London club's hierarchy have appeared strained, to put it mildly, since previous year while his departure from Stamford Bridge has been flagged for months.

Multiple reports in the English press have confirmed a breakdown in communication between Conte and the board ultimately saw the Italian depart the club.

Jorginho, capped eight times, told the club's official website: "I am absolutely ecstatic to be here at Chelsea".

Chelsea appointed Sarri as head coach on Saturday after sacking Antonio Conte this week. The Italian way, but we were used to that with Antonio (Conte) too'.

Police Chief Will Review Stormy Daniels Case, Says 'Mistake' Was Made
Daniels later announced that a follow-up performance at the same club Thursday - initially cancelled - would go ahead after all. Daniels's case was dismissed, however, because the law caveats that it is against the law for regular performers.

He was succeeded in May by Carlo Ancelotti - himself a former Chelsea manager.

Sarri has always been tipped to take over from Conte, however Chelsea dragged out the sacking of his fellow Italian, whose departure was only confirmed today, after two years at the club.

The former Italy national coach returned to take training this week but the writing was on the wall and the drawn-out process was reportedly due to how much compensation the club should pay Napoli for Sarri.

Chelsea get their Premier League campaign underway in exactly four weeks, kicking off on August 11 against Huddersfield Town as they look to improve on last season's fifth placed finish. "In the title winning season, the club set a then-record 30 wins in a 38-game season".

Aurelio De Laurentiis does not believe that Maurizio Sarri got the best out of Napoli's squad when attempting to hold off Juventus in the Serie A title race.
