Viking ships, desert outposts, and ancient statues have appeared across the island. There's a lot to go over in the patch notes but some of the most notable new additions to the game will be the new All Terrain Kart (ATK) and Rifts that will be dotted around the battle royale map. Grab your squad and cruise the map in style!

As expected, the biggest changes are within the map. The height of the jump will depend on how well players are able to lean back and release at the same time.

The roof acts as a bounce pad. Polygon speculates that it might even transport players to an entirely different map. Update v5.0's patch notes inform the centres of Storm Circles 7, 8 and 9 can now shift in random directions, as opposed to shrinking as normal.

Hamas decries Israel's closure of vital Gaza commercial border

Those familiar with Fortnite will know that switching between two shotguns has become a staple of the elite who play the game, allowing for multiple up close shots in quick succession to down an opponent.

"Fortnite" season 5 also adds indicators on how many pellets hit when players are using shotguns. The heavy shotgun now fires 10 pellets instead of 5, but the maximum damage of the weapon has been unchanged. But it's a mere dint in the $100 million kitty Epic Games has set aside for a number of tournaments over the next few years, which shows just how much excitement there is around this game. Also, after firing a shotgun, you won't be able to use a different shotgun for a short amount of time, presumably to avoid players weapon switching to fire off shotguns faster than they were created to be shot.

In 50v50 or 20v20 modes, you'll now get bonus XP up to three times per match for reviving teammates.
