Dallasnews reported the woman being found out following undercover officers inMontgomery County, north of Houston, encountered Peters on a social media site.

Sarah Peters, now 25, set up an arrangement in February to travel to Conroe, Texas to meet up with a man who she thought wanted to engage in "sexual acts" with her daughter.

She ultimately pleaded guilty to felony charges of sexual performance of a child, attempted human trafficking and promotion of prostitution of a child. Peters was arrested and her daughter was taken to a safe location.

Her arrest came after the Montgomery County Precinct 1 Constable's Office conducted an investigation into child exploitation, ABC13 reported. Her daughter was placed in the custody of state Child Protective Services. The customer at a Greyhound bus station was later revealed to be Detective Jerry Serratt, part of a task force targeting Internet crimes involving children, according to the local report.

Texas Department of Public Safety troopers executed a search warrant after finding a seven-year-old boy who they say was sold by his mother to two men.

Peters will be fist be eligible for parole in 20 years.
