A man has been jailed for eight years for raping and assaulting a woman on the riverside path near London Bridge. The CCTV footage showed them chatting, Naker appearing to show her concern, picking her up when she fell and offering her his jacket.

Crinnion told jurors, "He managed to manoeuvre her on to his back, into a piggyback position, and he is off across the road and down towards the passageway". He tries to kiss her but she pushes him away.

Security staff working nearby became suspicious by activity on CCTV and went to investigate.

Sanjay Naker, 28, who worked for Pricewaterhouse Coopers as financial consultant, saw the drunk teenager outside a London club when he approached her pretending to help her, then hoisted the 18-year-old girl over his shoulders and took her to an alley where he raped her and left her on the pavement unconscious on March 11 last year.

Naker, 28, was arrested the next day at his home in Wood Green in north London.

"If you formed a view that the woman wanted to have sex with you, you were very much mistaken", the Press Trust of India quoted Newberry as saying.

Naker, who forced the teenager to perform sex acts before raping her in a 30-minute attack, was found by a passer-by standing over her and zipping up his pants as she lay unconscious and half-naked.

He continued: 'Proper proud of this! It is available to pre-order now. It's a story about faith and the ideas worth fighting for.

But after almost seven hours of deliberations, Naker was convicted of three charges of rape, one of attempted rape and one of sexual assault.

He admitted later searching online for a definition of the word "rape" but said it reassured him he had done nothing wrong.

DC Aidan Kersley said: "Naker deliberately targeted his victim as someone intoxicated and vulnerable".

"He dragged her to a secluded area and raped her-but she has no memory of it".

Naker was cleared of of sexual assault by penetration.

"Naker brazenly gave security guards his name, confident the girl's intoxication would protect him-but we were able to prove she had been raped". "Our officers are experienced, highly trained and treat victims with the sensitivity and compassion they deserve".
