Insider says Apple’s most exciting new iPhone of 2018 may be delayed

Qualcomm won’t be in the 2018 iPhone

"We will continue to provide modems for Apple legacy devices", according to CNBC.

Apple itself has been using both Intel and Qualcomm modems on the iPhone.

Qualcomm announced its earnings for the quarter, beating analysts' expectations.

Here's the backstory: Long ago, a company called Infineon provided the modems for iPhones.

Qualcomm has previously said it wasn't including any revenue from Apple in forecasts, so Wednesday's comments confirm an existing concern among analysts and investors.

Trump's planned White House meeting with Putin pushed back to next year
Bump noted that the Washington Post's initial transcript , provided by Bloomberg, also lacked the important question from Reuters. I'm comfortable having presidents sit down and have one-on-ones with foreign leaders, but what I think matters is the message.

Of course, it's hard to stand out from the crowd with your gorgeous new iPhone if the finish on the device is white or black.

Without Qualcomm supplying Apple with cellular modems, the iPhone maker will likely switch to using Intel's modems, which are fast, but not as fast as Qualcomm's.

A new report suggests that the most affordable of 2018's iPhones, the 6.1-inch LCD screen device will come in a variety of bright, flashy and no doubt adventurous color options.

Other gossip from the Apple rumour mill suggests the tech giant will release a new version of the iPhone SE. Complicating the situation is that Qualcomm expects to have its 5G modems shipping with devices later this year, potentially starting first with mobile hotspots and moving on to smartphones, while Intel has said publicly that it won't have 5G chips ready until 2019. The company this week touted speed tests for its Snapdragon 845 chip as proving its products are superior than Intel's, possibly in an attempt to preempt negative reaction to Davis' revelation today.

Huberty still believes all three new iPhone models will be announced in September, which was the case past year even though the iPhone X was delayed and wasn't released until November.
