Kylie Jenner set to become the youngest self-made billionaire on Forbes list

The young mum, who launched Kylie Cosmetics in 2016, is about to become the youngest-ever "self-made" billionaire, according to Forbes, as her empire is worth $900 million (£678 million).

The 20-year-old, who launched her own cosmetic line, Kylie Cosmetics, less than three years ago, has already accumulated more than $900 million. In a cover story about the 20-year-old multi-millionaire, Forbes conservatively values the company at $800 million, with an estimated $330 million in sales last year. Forbes conservatively values the company at $US800 million, with an estimated $US330 million in sales previous year.

Soon, when she's worth a billion dollars, Jenner will be the youngest "self-made" billionaire bar none, beating out even Mark Zuckerberg, who earned the title at 23. However, not everyone out there is pleased with their choice, due to the opportunities afforded to her through Keeping Up With The Kardashians as well as Caitlyn Jenner's prowess as a world-renowned Olympic athlete.

"We consider any person who built her own fortune, and didn't inherit the money, to be self-made", Forbes' methodology reads.

Like Balachandra, other petitioners, as well as members from Pravritti, feel that this time, positive outcomes await. Dating back to the British era of mid-1800's, this colonial legacy was passed onto India by our colonisers.

Forbes' Natalie Robehmed detailed how Kylie Cosmetics has found success by harnessing Jenner's enormous social-media following and slashing costs by outsourcing labour.

Meanwhile, Kim, 37, has been in the reality TV business for most of Kylie's life-and she still hasn't become quite as rich! "I've always loved makeup and worked really hard to bring the first lip kit to market". With no real marketing budget beyond her social strategy, Kylie has revolutionized the way brands - beauty ones in particular - create products and interact with their fans. She takes to Instagram and Snapchat nearly hourly, talking about what Kylie cosmetics she's wearing or about future products and new launches. "Thank you for this article and the recognition. I've learned so much along the way and I hope to inspire others to follow their dreams".

Kylie Cosmetics' overhead costs are very low, Forbes points out, making her profit margin very, very high.

However, upon realising that she has a huge following on social media, Kylie says that helped her get easier access to her supporters, and maybe that's why her business is doing so well.
