RANGERS are set to clinch a loan deal for Roma striker Umar Sadiq before their Europa League first qualifying round clash with FK Shkupi.

"Rangers are delighted to announce the signing of Umar Sadiq on a season long loan from Roma, subject to worldwide clearance".

He told Rangers TV: "It was not easy but when my agent said Gerrard is the head coach, I said okay no problem and was happy to come in".
