The Egyptian who had a successful spell with the Merseyside club last season was rewarded for his performances with a new deal worth £200,000-a-week which is expected to keep him at Anfield till 2023. The 24-year-old's proposed transfer to Anfield fell through at the 11th hour and he remains in transfer limbo.

The midfielder played against PSG with both Lyon and Amiens, particularly impressing in Lyon's home win last season, and has been extensively scouted by the Ligue 1 champions, who are also weighing up an offer.

The club's new No 8, who finally became a Liverpool player on Sunday after his protracted move from RB Leipzig, was joined in pre-season by fellow summer signing Fabinho following his capture from Monaco.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, meanwhile, has stated that he feels Salah deserved the increased deal after his performances in 2017/18 and expressing his desire to stay with the Reds.

'That’s life' says Iniesta after Spain farewell ends in defeat
Lopetegui was sacked because he didn't tell Spain's soccer leaders he accepted an offer to coach Real Madrid after the tournament. Spain have no injury concerns but are expected to make changes to the team that drew 2-2 with Morocco in their final group game.

That delay has allowed other clubs to enter the race for Ndombele, with Arsenal now tracking the midfielder very closely; Juventus, Manchester City and Liverpool are also keen.

"He's a fantastic person and a fantastic coach, so it's really important that we have him back and I'm really looking forward to working together with him".

"Equally, our commitment to him says we see his value and want him to grow even more and get even better within our environment". As for Olivier Kemen, I think he'll be loaned out.
