The largest blaze, the Spring Fire in southern Colorado, has burned almost 23,000 hectares, destroyed an unknown number of structures, and has forced the hundreds of residents to evacuate their homes, fire officials said. It is now 14,700 acres and 75% contained. An evacuation order was also issued for south of County Road 81 and west of County Road 85. No injuries were reported. Only 2 percent of those fires have been contained.

The wildfire is burning in Grand and Clear Creek Counties in the Williams Fork range.

Cal Fire says the County Fire near the town of Guinda is now threatening some homes north of Highway 128 in Yolo County, but is not threatening residences within the city of Winters. It started Friday afternoon. As of Monday there were 119 fire engines, 29 hand crews, 12 helicopters, 34 water tenders, 23 bulldozers and nine air tankers.

The fire crossed over into Napa County on Sunday afternoon. There have also been evacuations and road closures. The county says its evacuation center is at the Boy Scout Cabin at 16960 Yolo avenue in Esparto. Overnight they more than doubled in size to 22,000 acres. Around 116 structures were threatened by the fire, which is burning near the east shore of Lake Berryessa.

Authorities have ordered residents to evacuate about 50 homes because of a wildfire north of Bend, Ore., in Warm Springs. The fire has burned about 33 square miles (85 square kilometers) since it started June 10. Fire weather conditions remain critical.

The County Fire has rolled over 44,500 acres in the day and a half it has been burning. The highway is closed all the way to State Route 16 in Colusa County.

There are mandatory evacuations for County Rd. 16 and the Murphy Ranch area.

Cal Fire reported there were now 1,226 firefighters working to establish control lines, but fire weather remains critical with the blaze creating its own weather conditions. At least 1,000 people were on the County Fire as of 8 p.m Saturday.

What caused the fire is being investigated.

"Due to the erratic wind behaviour, it's heading wherever it wants to head at the moment", McLean said.

"It's a very challenging fire, I'll be honest with you, with all the wind changes", Shane Greer, an incident commander with the Rocky Mountain Incident Management Team, told residents Sunday.
