Much has been made of "The Big Three" in Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch and Martin Truex Jr., and rightfully so, given that they have won 20 of the last 26 races dating back to the last visit to Joliet, Illinois to open the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs.

JOLIET, Ill. (AP) - Martin Truex Jr. just celebrated his 38th birthday.

The last lap aside, a major key to Busch's victory was stellar work on pit road. He is spending this weekend at one of his favorite tracks.

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will take a weekend hiatus before returning to action at Kentucky Speedway. Paul Menard is set to start from the pole, and Martin Truex Jr.is going for his third consecutive victory at Chicagoland Speedway.

"I got really boxed in and got really slow", Busch said. We've just got to... "I had to overcome a lot of issues here both years it seems like to be able to get the win". Busch imitated someone crying in front of an NBC camera and said, "If you don't like that kind of racing, then don't watch".

"I have run second three times this year".

Cole Custer advanced to the final round of qualification, but was unable to run a lap in that session after losing air in the right front tire.

Riding as high as he could go on the bumpy 1.5-mile oval, Larson passed Harvick with about 60 laps remaining in the 300-mile race.

LeBron James Rumors: Cavaliers Won't Have in-Person Meeting with Superstar
If he stays with Cleveland he's due to make more than the $35.6 million in the first year of a new deal 2018-2019. LeBron James posted a video of himself jumping off a cliff while on a Caribbean vacation with his family.

Truex was 12th in qualifying on Saturday, turning a lap in 174.656 miles per hour.

"That was hard racing", Larson said.

"We were really far off, I don't know what we had going on early on in the race, but we were just not very good". I think more guys are going to get the top working. His brother Kyle has won four times. Chase Elliott, Denny Hamlin and Kurt Busch rounded out the top five, with Clint Bowyer, Aric Almirola, Brad Keselowski, William Byron and Erik Jones completing the top 10. Busch then raced into the back of Larson's vehicle and sped ahead for the victory. But Truex called that strategy "a little bit overblown". "I feel old now", the 37-year-old Menard said with a wry grin. "This day and age you want to have confidence in the things you're doing and continue to do them".

It was Busch's second win at Chicagoland, joining his victory in 2008. It was his first stage win in the series. If he were to win on Sunday, Johnson would tie Hall of Famers Bobby Allison and Darrell Waltrip with 84 wins.

KEEPING THE FAITH: Daniel Suarez finished 15th last weekend at Sonoma. He went on to add six more throughout the regular season and the playoffs en route to his first career championship. We were just missing something that we kept working on and were trying to find and as our adjustments went, we kept getting closer and closer to it and kept getting closer and closer to the front.

"I hit him first", said Larson.
