Stormy Daniels' lawyer Michael Avenatti says he could beat Trump in 2020 presidential race

"IF (big) he seeks re-election, I will run, but only if I think that there is no other candidate in the race that has a REAL chance at beating him". "We can't relive 2016".

Michael Avenatti, adult-film actress Stormy Daniels' lawyer and a vocal critic of the president, said on the 4th of July that he is considering a 2020 presidential run.

Avenatti wrote a series of tweets, one warning American voters that Trump could win again and another outlining his support for issues such as abortion, gay rights, and amnesty for illegal immigrants.

Avenatti, who's risen to national fame as the porn star's attorney amid the tempest of legal claims she's made against the president, tweeted Wednesday that he will run if there is no other candidate "that has a real chance of beating" Trump. "If they don't, I will". That tweet was responding to Avenatti's earlier tweet, in which he said that "only a street fighter" can take on Trump.

He said he wants to stop Trump before the country "and its principles will be in pieces".

I always liked the Daily News!

Daniels has accused Trump and Cohen of defamation and has claimed that she had a consensual sexual encounter with Trump over a decade ago. Daniels has also alleged that a Trump associate threatened violence against her and her daughter in a clandestine meeting that same year.

Michael Avenatti has opposed Donald Trump in the courtroom and on social media, and now the media-savvy lawyer could be taking on the president in the voting booth as well.

Many believed that Bloomberg would only split the non-Trump voters, handing Trump and easier victory, and some have expressed the same concerns about Avenatti, whose political views are not readily known. "If we go down the same path and are not smart, don't be surprised with the result", he posted.
