Phil Elverum has explored the aftermath of the loss of his wife in stunning, overwhelming detail in his last two Mount Eerie records A Crow Looked At Me and Now Only, and it seems has found a new love who can empathize greatly with his emotional turmoil, the actress Michelle Williams, who revealed in a recent Vanity Fair profile that the two had recently gotten married in secret. The pair secretly Wednesday in Adirondacks, and now live together in Brooklyn with their two daughters. Williams was in a relationship with actor Heath Ledger from 2004 to 2007 and the two had a daughter together, named Matilda.

Elverum, a singer-songwriter who performs under the name Mount Eerie, has been married before, to Geneviève Castrée.

In a cover profile with Vanity Fair the private actress opened up to the publication that by the time the article would be published she would be married to the singer-songwriter - whom she met through a mutual friend - in a ceremony in the Adirondacks, in north east NY.

Michelle lost her former-partner and father of Matilda, Heath, when he died in January 2008 from cardiac arrest brought on by a prescription drug overdose. All that I can cling to is his presence inside her that reveals itself every day'.

"I never gave up on love", she told the magazine. 'I always say to Matilda, "Your dad loved me before anybody thought I was talented, or pretty, or had nice clothes". And that's really what it took: "somebody who was at the head of the pack, Jessica Chastain, pulling me up with her, and then all these other women surrounding me, teaching me", she said.
