The All-Star point guard has committed to re-signing with Houston in free agency.

Shortly after the deal was announced, Paul took to Twitter to confirm the news.

According to reports, the Houston Rockets have agreed to re-sign unrestricted free agent point guard Chris Paul to a contract worth $160 million over four years.

The Rockets acquired Paul a year ago in an opt-in-and-trade deal with the LA Clippers. Houston will need Paul to stay healthy and continue his dominance on both sides of the ball in order to contend for a championship next season.

"UNFINISHED BUSINESS.RUN IT BACK" Paul wrote.

After pushing the Warriors almightily close in the Western Conference finals, the Rockets enter the 2018 offseason with the sole aim of ensuring they return next year with a better chance to get past the back-to-back champs. But the one elusive piece to his legacy is an National Basketball Association championship, and his bum hamstring kept his Rockets from surviving a decisive Game 7 with the Warriors.

Golden State will enter the 2018-19 season as the favorites once again, but Houston can not be counted out.

There has been speculation that Paul's friendship with LeBron James could sway the league's best player.
