Raymond Felton Returning to Thunder on One Year Deal

The Oklahoma City Thunder made history as they became the first team in the National Basketball Association annals to top $300 million in salaries and luxury tax.

What does this mean for Carmelo?

Many commentators looked straight at former NY star Carmelo Anthony's $27.9 million annual salary as the solution to the crisis. In this picture, teammates George #13 and Westbrook #0 of the Oklahoma City Thunder talk during their game against the Charlotte Hornets at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, Jan. 13, 2018. One is attempting to trade him, though that seems unlikely. He's 34, making a ton of money and not doing much to help the Thunder. Now, the team could buy him out, stretch his contract or just trade him with the latter being the toughest move to complete.

So the $27.9 million owed to Anthony would be represented on the books as $9.3 million in 2018-19, $9.3 million in 2019-20, and $9.3 million in 2020-21.

Thunder fans may not be pleased to watch management dole out contracts in the millions for a team merely knocking at the door of Western Conference supremacy, but management had very little choice.

In a blistering attack on Russia, Home Secretary Sajid Javid demanded the Kremlin provide an explanation for the two episodes. Various sites visited by the couple in Amesbury and Salisbury during Friday and Saturday are cordoned off by police.

Spotrac says if the Thunder waives Anthony, they will save around $17.1 million in cap space and around $90 million in luxury tax payment if they decide to replace him with a player with a minimum salary.

The record illustrates the shift in the Thunder's policy concerning the luxury tax. That's...quite a lot.

The Lakers, feeling that George would sign this summer as a free agent, opted not to pay that price, and he was instead sent to the Thunder in exchange for Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis.

Healthy enough, at least, for George to reportedly knock back the opportunity of joining superstar LeBron James at the Los Angeles Lakers.
