Mueller indicted 12 Russian military officers in the 2016 hacking of the Democratic National Committee on Friday, alleging they hacked DNC officials and dispersed the stolen documents through online personas, including Guccifer 2.0. All 12 defendants are members of Russia's intelligence service, according to the court filing.

"No, I'm sorry, I think it is still unproven", he said.

Stone continued: "No, I don't concede that!"

"Please tell me if i can help u would be a great pleasure to me, '" the message said. Stone responded that the information was "pretty standard".

"I certainly acknowledge that I was in touch with Trump campaign officials, and I have testified under oath to the House Intelligence Committee that I certainly had a 24-word exchange with the persona Guccifer 2.0 over Twitter direct messages", Stone said in an interview with CNN's Chris Cuomo. This exchange is now entirely public and provides no evidence of collaboration or collusion with Guccifer 2.0 or anyone else in the alleged hacking of the DNC emails.

Interviews with multiple witnesses and other individuals who claimed to be contacted by Mr. Mueller's team suggest the special counsel's probe is aggressively looking for evidence that would indicate whether persons associated with the president, especially Mr. Stone, a campaign adviser through 2015, colluded with Russian Federation during the race, ABC reported.

Emmanuel Macron rubbishes Donald Trump's increased North Atlantic Treaty Organisation spending claim
Because The United States has been paying a tremendous amount-probably 90% of the cost of North Atlantic Treaty Organisation ... At Thursday's press conference, he repeated an incorrect claim that the USA "pays for 70 to 90% of NATO ".

At least seven people associated with longtime Trump friend Roger Stone have been contacted by Mueller, ABC News has determined through interviews with witnesses and others who confirmed they have been contacted.

Earlier, while speaking with 7News, Stone said he has no problem admitting that he did speak to somebody who called himself "Guccifer 2.0", but doesn't think it's a real Russian hacker. Investigators are presumed to be searching for evidence that Trump or any close associates knew that the Russian government had hacked the DNC and gave them to Wikileaks for publication.

Referring to remarks from Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein on Friday, Stone said, "Look, Rosenstein said in his comments that they knew of no crime by USA citizens".

A self-described "dirty trickster" in American politics, Stone has taken credit for persuading President Trump to get into politics.

"My contact with the campaign in 2016 was Donald Trump".

"He's spending a lot of money, and Roger is a critical piece for him to make the argument for an impeachment of Donald Trump", Nunberg told CNN's Erin Burnett.

Stone for his part has rejected any notion he was part of some grand conspiracy of collusion.

The indictment lays out how the Russian intelligence officers, posing as Guccifer 2.0, discussed how to release the stolen documents to "heighten their impact" on the election with organization 1 providing guidance on timing.
