Stoke City Want Sheyi Ojo From Liverpool In Shaqiri Transfer Deal

Xherdan Shaqiri will complete a medical at Melwood on Friday as the Switzerland attacker nears a £13.5 million move to Liverpool from Stoke City.

Since the end of the season, Shaqiri has been linked with a number of clubs due to a release clause in his contract which was activated when Stoke were relegated from the Premier League.

The newspaper says the 26-year-old was keen to work under Jurgen Klopp at Anfield so has snubbed all interest to join Liverpool and will undergo his medical today ahead of his bargain move.

Liverpool has had the best start to transfer window than any other Premier League side as they usurped the signatures of highly rated midfield cameos, Fabinho and Keita.

His last-minute victor against Serbia sent Switzerland through to the World Cup round of 16 before their campaign drew to a close with a defeat to Sweden.

The article claims that Klopp has identified Shaqiri as a top target this summer as he wants to have him as back up for Liverpool FC's front three of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.

A wunderkind at Bayern Munich, destined for greatness at Inter Milan and then an under-achiever at Stoke City, could Jurgen Klopp's attacking dynamic be the key to unlocking Shaqiri's potential?
