Thailand's cave boys to be discharged from hospital next week

Ambulances carry two of the boys freed from the Tham Luang Nang Non cave

The 12 boys who were trapped in a cave for almost three weeks will be discharged next Thursday, along with their 25-year-old coach, officials said Saturday, as they shared touching video messages recorded by the team.

The whole world breathed a huge sigh of relief when the 12 school boys and their assistant coach were pulled out of the flooded cave in Thailand completely unharmed, bringing an end to the near three-week ordeal that spurred an worldwide rescue effort.

It took over a week before British divers were able to wade into the caves and find the boys and their coach.

The country's minister of Public Health, Piyasakol Sakolsatayadorn, said all of the boys are healthy, gaining weight and have a high appetite.

The "Wild Boars" and their coach were missing for nine days - since June 23 - in the Luang Nang Non Cave in northern Thailand before they were discovered by Volanthen and fellow Briton, Rick Stanton.

In a video played at a news conference Saturday, the boys showed little sign of their 18-day ordeal in the dark Tham Luang cave, sitting up in their hospital beds and thanking their rescuers.

The team and coach had ventured into the complex after a practice but became trapped when heavy rains flooded the way they'd come in. Nearly immediately after they entered the caverns, a torrential seasonal downpour flooded the systems behind them, trapping them deep within the caves.

Two British divers found them on 2 July, squatting on a mound in a flooded chamber several kilometers inside the complex.

Volanthen said the death of Thai Navy SEAL Saman Kunan, who died while replenishing oxygen canisters along the escape route, made the rescue "bitter sweet".

Shaqiri signs for Liverpool
Xherdan Shaqiri was one of the standouts in Russian Federation , not just for Switzerland but the 2018 FIFA World Cup in general. A transfer to Inter Milan followed in January 2015, but he quickly traded them for the Potters that August.

He denied he was a hero and said he was using a "very unique skill set" to "give something back to the community".

"I want pork knuckle rice", said another boy in recovery.

The boys were trapped for more than two weeks in the cave.

Others said they were craving sushi.

One concern has been how they will deal with the fame, given the huge attention, both from within Thailand and beyond, on the case.

The health condition of the boys are safe albeit a few minor infections.

Rescue efforts were failing, and hope was fading, but due to the bravery of first responders including Thailand's navy SEALs and good fortune from a lack of inclement weather, the boys were eventually rescued according to The Guardian.

The king's order promoted Saman to lieutenant commander.

Saman was the only fatality in the operation.
