Treyarch reveals CoD: Black Ops 4 multiplayer and battle royale beta details

Black Ops 4 beta dates

Black Ops 4 beta dates

We've previously reported on a rumor about how many players Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's battle royale mode, Blackout, would support. Launching three separate multiplayer modes at once is no easy task, and to make sure everything runs smoothly, Treyarch will be holding two betas, one for multiplayer and one for Blackout.

We'll get a better idea of Treyarch's plans when the Black Ops 4 betas arrive. The Private Multiplayer Beta will be available first on PlayStation 4.

As for those playing Black Ops 4 on PC, they will have their own open beta take place beginning on August 11 and lasting until August 13.

Everyone who participates in the beta will be eligible for rewards once Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 comes out October 12th. Pre-ordering from a retailer should get you a code to redeem on the Call of Duty website while pre-ordering digitally should just grant you automatic access when the beta goes live.

The Private Multiplayer Beta will feature six maps, two of which will be debuting for the first time. New Specialists will be playable along with returning Specialists Nomad and Prophet.

The winger impressed for Switzerland at the 2018 World Cup, including scoring the victor against Serbia in the group stage. Jurgen Klopp has described signing Xherdan Shaqiri as a "no-brainer" after Liverpool confirmed the capture of the forward.

The Private Multiplayer Beta will feature fan-favorite game modes like Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, and Search & Destroy, alongside our brand-new objective-based game mode, Control, which was created to bring out the best of Black Ops IIII Multiplayer gameplay.

In Control, teams alternate rounds between attacking and defending two static objectives. PC players who pre-order can start playing the "early access" beta August 10th, starting at 10:00 PT. The following weekend from August 10 through August 13, both Xbox One and PS4 players will then both be able to dive in.

Let's be honest though, most players are probably more interested in the Blackout beta.

The private multiplayer beta kicks off August 3 on PlayStation 4, followed shortly by PC and Xbox One.
