Step it up Skipper Gary Wilson admits Ireland must improve

The Afghanistan National Cricket Team won the Twenty20 global (T20I) series 2-0 after the third and final match of the series was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to rain.

Due to the overnight rain and a waterlogged pitch in County Tyrone, the game has been called off.

Afghanistan was declared the victor of the series after winning the first two matches.

Elflein is now on the PUP list, but Zimmer responded "No, I don't think so" if Elflein would start the season on the PUP list. But with the final preseason game just four days away, that's where Elflein remains as questions mount regarding his status.

The team will go on to play Ireland next week in their One Day International series. "As a result, Afghanistan won the series 2-0", the Afghanistan Cricket Board said in a statement. Zazai helped Afghanistan overcome its poor start with a total of 82 of 54 balls, while visitors took the opportunity to roll 160 before both the spinners earned 7-34 to defeat Ireland for 79.

Afghanistan won the toss and elected to bat.

Zazai, who only played his third game for the national team, was unstoppable. Every free delivery was received with contempt and the early relapse had little influence on the game's situation. With the regular bowlers leaking runs, Gary Wilson turned to senior player Paul Stirling in search of a breakthrough. Zazai had two more sixes to follow - taking his match tally to seven - before he fell off the last ball of the 16th over.
