As you might guess, Q's handiwork is not cheap. These will be "continuation cars", meaning they will be newly constructed cars made nearly exactly as they were in 1964.

"The connection between Aston Martin and James Bond is something of which we are very proud and it is remarkable that the DB5 remains the definitive James Bond auto after so many years", Dr Andy Palmer, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Aston Martin, said.

It is the auto that has captured the imagination of generations of James Bond fans.

Are you a James Bond fan?

But the closest you could get to owning the gadget-filled Aston Martin DB5 first driven by Sean Connery in Goldfinger more than 50 years ago was in a toy version - until now.

Aston Martin teamed up with Oscar-winner Chris Corbould special effects supervisor from the James Bond movies to develop and incorporate the working gadgets into the DB5s, which will all be painted in Silver Birch as a nod to the original vehicle.

Nicki Minaj Calls Out Travis Scott, Kylie Jenner, Spotify & More After 'Queen' Debuts at No. 2 on Billboard 200
Her opening numbers are the second largest recorded for a female artist this year, following Cardi B 's Invasion Of Privacy . I love you guys so much, ' she tweeted again. 'I looked at the numbers the Carters, Kanye, Nas, etc. recently did.

The DB5 featured in six subsequent 007 films - Thunderball, GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, Casino Royale, Skyfall and Spectre.

The connection between the Bond brand and the Aston Martin brand is now so strong that the auto company has dubbed its in-house customization arm "Q by Aston Martin".

By authentic, Aston mean things like revolving numberplates "and more".

Aston Martin said the only modifications the DB5s will receive are "sympathetic ... to ensure the highest levels of build quality and reliability". Aston Martin's main manufacturing facility is now in Gaydon, Warwickshire, England. Customer deliveries are slated to kick off in 2020, but those fortunate enough to claim one won't be able to show them off in public as the vehicles won't be road legal.

Just like the DB4 GT Continuation models we saw at the end of 2016, Aston is building 25 brand-new Aston Martin DB5s, built as "authentic reproductions" of the exact auto that Connery, Brosnan and Craig all drove in various screen outings. Aston boss, Andy Palmer, said: "To own an Aston Martin has always been an aspiration for James Bond fans, but to own a Silver Birch DB5, complete with gadgets and built to the highest standards in the very same factory as the original James Bond cars?"

According to Aston Martin, the most significant change was the introduction of a 3995cc straight six complete with three SU carburetors.
