Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown Gets Release Date and New Trailer

Players will form part of a military force exclusively comprised of criminals, called the Penitentiary Unit.

Skies Unknown will release on the PlayStation 4 on the 18th of January 2019 and then on the Xbox One and PC on the 1st of February 2019.

"The team and I have been working diligently to produce an experience that will add another action-packed chapter to the Ace Combat franchise, but more importantly, be worthy of your time", said, Ace Combat 7 Brand Director Kazutoki Kono. The story will pick up as the Second Unsean Continental War kicks off, tasking players to take on a new threat posed by "an army of pilotless jets".

This allows for a wider range of tactics that includes new futuristic superweapons and planes like the sturdy A-10C Thunderbolt II, as well as multipurpose fighter F-35C and high-performance aircraft Rafale M. Additionally, BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Asia also announced new branded flight sticks for the sole goal of using it in-game.

Additionally, Bandai Namco announced two Ace Combat-branded flight sticks, the "T.Flight Hotas 4 Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown Edition" for PS4 and Xbox One by Thrustmaster. PC games will need to cultivate slightly more patience, as the Steam release is set for 1st February, 2018.
