Arsenal fans have for long urged the club to sign a powerful winger in this transfer window and rumours have claimed that the gunners have identified Ousmane Dembele as the ideal choice to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.

With Barcelona losing Neymar in a rather extravagant transfer saga, combined with an exorbitant fee for the Brazilian, the club was looking to bring in someone to replace him.

According to the Daily Express, the Gunners' head of recruitment, Sven Mislintat, is trying his utmost to get former Borussia Dortmund winger Ousmane Dembele to the Emirates before the transfer window closes.

Dembele only joined Barcelona from Dortmund in last summer in a deal worth £97million plus add-ons.

Manchester United Reportedly Agree Personal Terms With Barcelona World Cup Star
According to English publication The Times , the 2018 World Cup victor is open to extending his stay at Stamford Bridge. He won the title with Chelsea in his debut season at the club while helping them to FA Cup success last season.

The Catalan outfit are also interested in Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey with reports this week suggesting the two players could go in opposite directions as part of a swap deal.

Dembele, 21, made 24 appearances for the Blaugrana last season, scoring four goals and assisting a further nine strikes.

According to The Sun, Ramsey, who has entered the final year of his Arsenal contract, could be used as part-exchange for Dembele. While their top target is Adrien Rabiot, the Catalan giants see Ramsey as the ideal alternative.
