Battlefield V- all gameplay extras have to be earned

The game was originally meant to hit stores on October 19th, however the publisher has chose to delay the game by nearly a month, and now targets a November 20th release.

Battlefield V will now be launching on 20th November 2018, which also moves it out of the way of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 on 5th October and Red Dead Redemption 2 on 26th October.

"We know moving the launch date means that we all have to wait a little longer", the post reads.

The new release date has Battlefield V coming out a week after Fallout 76, but other than that it's now one of the last major multiformat releases of the year - with only Darksiders III and Just Cause 4 coming out after it. The game is slated to feature single-player, multiplayer, co-op, and even a battle royale mode, although some game modes will not be available at launch.

Battlefield V has had an unusually rocky road to release, with the initial reveal being derailed by online bigots complaining about too many women in the game.

"Our core businesses, including FIFA Ultimate Team, are strong, we think our players are going to love Battlefield V, and excitement is building for our new IP, Anthem". I wanted to give you a little bit of insight into how we arrived at this new date. DICE cites the "tens of thousands of players" for the change, who have played in various builds spanning the alphas, E3, and Gamescom.

In particular, DICE mentioned that they will be adjusting the gameplay tempo, improving soldier visibility, and reducing player friction. You'll be able to get your hands on Battlefield V on November 20, 2018, and the open beta will maintain its original starting date of September 6, 2018. Battlefield, one of the company's biggest franchise, is a first-person shooter game and known for its realistic depiction of combat.
