Bhuvneshwar Kumar Declared Fit, To Play in India A Quadrangular Series

Earlier, the BCCI while announcing the 18-member Indian squad for the first three Tests against England on July 18 had dropped the 28-year-old medium-pacer after he had aggravated his injury while playing the ODI series against England recently.

The Virat Kohli-captained Indian team, trailing 2-0 after the first two games of the series, won the third Test at Trent Bridge to get back into the series.

India fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar will make a comeback to competitive cricket after he was declared fit on Monday.

Bhuvneshwar suffered the injury during the third ODI against England and returned to India afterwards.

Major League Baseball trade rumors: Blue Jays place Josh Donaldson on waivers
Sportsnet's Shi Davidi reports that Donaldson was held out of Wednesday's lineup due to soreness in his calves and legs. Louis-Dispatch cautions that the Cards were not among the teams that sent a scout to check out his first rehab game.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar will feature in India A's next fixture against South Africa A.

"Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been declared fit and will be a part of the India A squad in the ongoing Quadrangular series", the BCCI said in a statement. After tests in London, he was sent to the NCA, with the Board's medical team monitoring his rehabilitation.

Bhuvneshwar will play against South Africa A on August 29 in Bengaluru as Shreyas Iyer-led India A will battle it out for the third position in the Quadrangular series. If he proves his match fitness there, then it will be very interesting to see if Bhuvi is called up to play the Fifth and Final Test against England at the Kia Oval in case India manages to square the series in Southampton.
